“What you affirm consciously and feel as true will be made manifest in your mind body and affairs. Affirm the good and enter into the joy of living”
I just recently finished reading best selling “self-help” book ‘The Power of Your Subconscious Mind’ written by Dr.Joseph Murphy. In reading this book I found myself understanding more of how the power of ones thoughts can basically shape who you are as an individual. If you consume yourself with negative thoughts and habits, then you will become those negative thoughts. If you make it a point to try your best to only think of positive things, and redirect your energy, then you will see an outcome of blessings, peace, joy, and prosperity. Reading this book has encouraged me to do a 21 day personal challenge consisting of practicing yoga and meditation, isolating myself from social media (unless promoting my blog), reciting positive self affirmations along with journaling daily.
This 21 day personal challenge is all about self-discipline, self-respect, growth as a young woman, mental health, and self -love. I have been no stranger in sharing my journey of dealing with mental health struggles, I am in a better place, but in being in a better place, I want to take it even further. This is essentially a fast that I believe with my faith in God and the power of my subconscious mind, will help me grow as an individual.
21 day personal challenge:
– Practice Meditation and or yoga for 10-20 minutes every morning before starting my day, and evening before ending my day.
-Write down a positive self affirmation and read it aloud to myself everyday.
-NO SOCIAL MEDIA.
A simple yet powerful challenge.
I’m ready for this season of growth ! Are you?
